FIRST MATCHES PLAYED IN CRICKET AND FOOTBALL


1872 Scotland vs England football match

            The first ever official international football match to be played was Scotland v England (1872). The team to be participated was by the national teams of Scotland and England.The match took place on 30 November 1872 at West of Scotland Cricket Club ground at Hamilton Crescent in Partick, Scoland. The match finished in a 0–0 draw and was watched by 4,000 spectators.

1877 England vs Australia Cricket match

      The first ever official international cricket match was played between Australia v England(1877). The match was played at Melbourne cricket ground back on 15 March 1877. Australia won that test match by 45 runs .    
    Charls Bannerman of England was the first batsman to score a run in test cricket, or in cricket as a whole. He was also the first man to hit a hundred.


16th Century - History of Tennis

Between the 16th and 18th centuries the game of the palm was highly rewarded by kings and nobelman.The French players would begin the palm game by shouting the word "tenez"(play). The palm game soon came to be called "real tennis "or "royal".
